Koskinou is about 10 km. from the town of Rhodes. It is one of the oldest villages of Rhodes and one of the most historic and well-known. It took its name from the construction of sieves and it's dating back to the 15th century. The village reminds a maze of narrow streets and vivid colors. All houses are carved with designs and stone terraces. The characteristic of the houses is the color on the doors and you will be impressed by the colorful mosaic.

It's worth visiting the "Traditional House", which is adorned with hand-woven and ceramic ornaments. Generally Koskinou have intense archaeological interest as it hosts its medieval 13th century castle and the Christian chapels of Ag. Marina, Ag. Irini and Ag. Loukas. Today the villagers are engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry, tourism and traditional with the lime production.

 There are many choices for accommodation and facilities in the village, as well as opportunities for good food in traditional taverns and modern restaurants, shopping and entertainment.
